Adele, 24, lives with her fiance* Simon Konecki, 38, in a 10 bedroom mansion on 25 acres of land in West Sussex, England. Although she has not given much information to the press, such as the baby’s gender* or age, a friend of hers says “She is lying low and focusing on* becoming a mom.  The baby is healthy and she’s so excited!”
The friend also says that Adele’s next album will be lighter and more upbeat.* “The pregnancy has had a big impact* on her songwriting!”
Adele came to fame suddenly, becoming instantly popular after a friend of hers
posted a demo tape, which Adele had done as a class project, to MySpace in 2006.  That got her an agent and a recording contract.
Her two albums, called 19 and 21 after the age she was when she began recording each one, have been popular both with critics and fans, and she has had such hits as Rolling in the Deep, Someone Like You, and Set Fire to the Rain.
At the 2011 Billboard Music Awards* ceremony Adele won artist of the year, Billboard 200 Album of the year (21), and the Billboard Hot 100 Song of the year (Rolling in the Deep), becoming the first female ever to top* all three categories.
After throat* microsurgery in November, Adele made her live comeback at the 2012 Grammy Awards in February.  She won in all six categories for which she was nominated, making her the second female artist after Beyoncé Knowles do that.
